En Afrique, la lutte passe obligatoirement par la vaccination annuelle des bovins, pour réduire l’incidence de la maladie. Nous avons réalisé 104
prélèvements de poumons suspects de PPCB, et nous les avons analysés au laboratoire Garoua. Ce travail a été effectué d’août 2008 à Février 2009. Nous avons isolé une souche de MmmSC, ce qui nous donne une prévalence de moins de 1% dans l’Extrême-Nord du Cameroun à Maroua. Les résultats nous montrent que la PPCB apparait comme une maladie sporadique et non enzootique.
