Une enquête vel'ticale sur les facteurs environnementaux et leur effet sur le parasitisme externe et la parasitémie du poulet traditionnel a été faite dans 20 villages du "Central River Division" en Gambie. De: fin juillet à, fin septembre, 29 villages ont été visités et 120 poulets examinés.
, L'humidité, l'hyg,iène et I~ conception des poulaillers ont été remarquées, Au niveau des poulaillers, les ectoparasites ont été dominés par les mouches, les m04cherons ,les poux et les tiques, Chez lès poulets, 'on, a retrouvé principalement les agents de gale "Cnemidocôptés (53,;3%); les larves et nymphes de tiques (22%) et les poux mallophages (14%) .Des corrélations positives' o~t été observées entre moustiques et trypanosomes, puis entre moustiques et plasmotiies. De même,' la présence de tiques a influé significativement ,sur ce,lle d'Aegyptianella (R=0,59 P<0,04 ). |
