La tuberculose bovine est une maladie infectieuse, contagieuse, due au bacille du genreB Mycobacterium bovis. Elle affecte principalement les bovins mais d’autres animaux aussi bien domestiques que sauvages ainsi que l’homme peuvent être atteints par la maladie. La tuberculose bovine est présente dans la plupart des pays en voie de développement et engendre des conséquences socio-économiques importantes. Au Sénégal, la tuberculose bovine existe depuis très longtemps. Des enquêtes ont été menées aux abattoirs de Dakar afin de connaître la situation actuelle de la tuberculose bovine dans le pays. A l’issue de cette enquête aux abattoirs, 37 prélèvements suspects de tuberculose bovine ont été récoltés sur un total de 200101 carcasses de bovins soit une prévalence de 0,0185%. L’étude des lésions tuberculeuses porte principalement sur les poumons. Au laboratoire, 9 cultures positives de bacilles acido- alcolo- résistantes sur 37 ont été identifiées en bactérioscopie. Après isolement en culture, l’identification biochimique, à travers les tests à la catalase, à la niacine et à la nitrate réductase, a révélé que la plupart des souches sont des mycobactéries atypiques. L’identification biomoléculaire, par la PCR, a révélé l’existence de trois souches de Mycobacterium bovis. Ces résultats confirment la présence de la tuberculose bovine au Sénégal et que l’Etat ainsi que les différents acteurs de l’élevage doivent prendre plus en considération cette maladie pour une meilleure protection des populations humaine et animales. |
