La présente étude a été menée dans le but d’évaluer les effets anticoccidiens du Xylopia aethiopica chez le poulet de chair, par rapport à l’anticoccidien classique, l’amprolium. Elle s’est déroulée du 15 Mai à 11 juillet 2015 en région périurbaine de Dakar (Sénégal) et a porté sur 248 poussins de souche Cobb 500 non sexés répartis en cinq lots, après infestation ou non par voie orale avec une suspension de 5000 ookystes de coccidies du genre Eimeria sp par poussin au matin du 10ème jour : Un lot témoin non infesté non traité : LNNT Un lot infesté non traité : LINT Un lot infesté et traité avec l’amprolium à raison de 1g/4l d’eau de boisson : LITA un lot infesté et nourri avec une ration à 0,05% de gousses de Xylopia aethiopica : LIX1 un lot infesté et nourri avec une ration à 0,1% de gousses de Xylopia aethiopica : LIX2 Les paramètres étudiés ont été l’excrétion ookystale, les performances de croissance et la rentabilité économique. Les résultats obtenus ont montré que: La charge ookystale est passée du début à la fin des essais, de 1 600 à 8 400, de 4 000 à 29 400, de 3 000 à 7 500, de 5000 à 35600 et de 4400 à 25200 respectivement dans les lots LNNT, LINT, LITA, LIX1 et LIX2. Le Xylopia aethiopica incorporé au taux de 0,1% qui a permis de réduire la charge ookystale par rapport au lot infesté non traité, et au lot infesté et traité avec amprolium, tout le contraire pour une incorporation au taux de O,05% ; Bien que les indices de consommation (IC) soient significativement (p‹0,05) plus élevés dans les lots LIX1 (5,74±3,80), LIX2 (4 ,92±3,92), LINT (2,64±1,02). LNNT (2,58±1,11) et que dans le lot traité à l’amprolium (1,67). Le Xylopia aethiopica a altéré l’IC et n’a pas amélioré l’évolution pondérale des poulets atteints de la coccidiose, par rapport à l’amprolium et un non traitement. A l’abattage, les carcasses les plus lourdes ont été celles du lot celles du lot LINT (1021 ,43), suivi de celles du lot LNNT (994,12g), celles du lot LITA (730,68g) et en fin celles du lot LIX2 (702,17±188,25g). Le taux de mortalité a été plus faible chez les poulets nourri avec le Xylopia aethiopica au taux de 0,1% (8%), par rapport à ceux des lots, LITA (10%) et LINT (16%). les pertes économiques dues à la coccidiose ont été de 574 F pour le lot LNNT, 523 F pour le lot LINT, 1076 F pour le lot LITA et de1082 F pour le lot LIX2. Globalement, on peut déduire que par rapport à l’anticoccidien classique (l’amprolium), le Xylopia aethiopica incorporé au taux de 0,05 dans la ration, a donné des résultats négatifs tant sur le plan sanitaire, zootechnique qu’économique. Par contre l’incorporation des gousses de Xylopia aethiopica dans la ration du poulet de chair au taux de 0,1%, favorise une baisse du taux de mortalité par rapport l’anticoccidien classique même si la plante à ce taux, est moins efficace comme anticoccidien. |
