Au cours de ces dernières années, l’aviculture moderne a connu un essor considérable dans plusieurs zones périurbaines du Mali. Face aux pathologies, l’utilisation abusive d’antibiotiques en chimioprévention au détriment de l’immunisation constitue aujourd’hui un véritable problème de santé publique. La présente étude consistait à faire l’état des lieux des pratiques avicoles et de la résistance des salmonelles aux antibiotiques dans les élevages semi-intensifs chez les poules pondeuses en zone périurbaine de Bamako. Pour atteindre cet objectif, les travaux se sont déroulés au cours de la période allant de Septembre 2014 à Mai 2015. Ainsi, 46 exploitations avicoles des poules pondeuses ont été enquêtées sur les six (06) axes principaux du District qui sont : Bamako – Koulikoro, Bamako - Siby, Bamako – Kangaba, Bamako – Ségou, Bamako – Kati, BamakoBougouni. Au cours des prélèvements, 169 échantillons (écouvillons et organes) ont été collectés dans 46 fermes et analysés, suite à des suspicions. Sur les 46 exploitations avicoles enquêtées, L’analyse ou l’évaluation des mesures de biosécurité montrait que la durée du vide sanitaire est respectée dans toutes les exploitations ; 52,17% ne respectaient pas la distance conventionnelle entre deux exploitations avicoles. Seulement 15,22% des fermes possédaient une clôture et 84,78% étaient alors accessibles aux oiseaux sauvages. La plupart des fermes enquêtées possédaient le système de la bande unique, soit 65,21%, un petit nombre (10,87%) respectait les normes de construction. Dans les fermes enquêtées, aucune ne possèdent des bacs de désinfection à l’entrée des exploitations et 13,04% des bacs de désinfection à l’entrée des poulaillers. L’analyse du système d’abreuvement montrait que l’eau utilisée pour abreuver les poulets est la même que celle utilisée pour administrer les antibiotiques. Cette eau provenait des puits (50%) ou des forages (50%). Les cadavres issus des élevages étaient rejetés dans la nature dans 52,17% des fermes, destinés à la consommation humaine dans 8,69%, enfouis dans 8,69% et incinérés dans 6,52%. Les programmes de prophylaxie appliqués dans les fermes étaient fournis par les fournisseurs de poussins dans 30,43%. Notons que ces programmes de prophylaxie sont appliqués dans 93,48% des fermes enquêtées. Ces programmes de prophylaxie étaient différents d’un fournisseur à un autre. En ce qui concerne les agents de santé animale enquêtés, seulement cinq sur 46 (soit 8,69%) n’ont pas reçu une formation diplômante ou qualifiante vétérinaire, cinq (soit 10,46%) ont un grade de docteur vétérinaire ; 12 (26,09%) sont des ingénieurs zootechniciens ; 28 (60,87%) représentent des techniciens d’élevages et un (2,17%) technicien supérieur d’élevage. Les pathologies les plus fréquemment rencontrées dans la zone de l’étude sont : la salmonellose, les affections respiratoires (Coryza), la maladie de Mareck et la combinaison de ces maladies. Selon les agents de santé animale, les échecs thérapeutiques sont dus à un mauvais diagnostic pour 39,13%, selon 28,26% à une mauvaise application des consignes d’administration des antibiotiques prescrits à l’éleveur, 15,22% à la qualité des médicaments utilisés et 15,22% au développement de résistance. Au total, 15,22% des agents de santé animale enquêtés affirment avoir des notions concernant les résidus d’antibiotiques. Ces agents de santé confirment que l’usage des antibiotiques en aviculture représente un risque pour la santé publique et qu’aucune restriction n’a été imposée sur la gamme d’antibiotiques à utiliser dans les fermes au Mali. Les résultats issus de ce travail ont montré que 23 fermes (soit 50% des élevages) sont contaminées. A partir des 169 échantillons prélevés, il a été obtenu 25 isolats de salmonelles (14,79%). Les pourcentages de résistance ont été obtenus avec l’érythromycine (85,58%), la Streptomycine (81,13%), la Doxycycline (76,13%), la colistine (68,20%), la tétracycline (67,5%), la Kanamycine (62,84%), la fluméquine (50,84%) et la gentamycine (7,34%). Seuls quatre sur 25 isolats (16%) ont été résistants à un seul antibiotique alors que 21 sur 25 (84%) l’étaient pour deux antibiotiques ou plus. |
