La filière d’œuf de consommation au Togo contribue de façon considérable par sa grande productivité à l’économie du pays. Cependant, les potentialités de cette filière se voient menacées par de multiples pathologies aviaires contraignant les producteurs à faire recours à des antibiotiques. Malheureusement, ces derniers ne le font pas selon les bonnes règles d’utilisation des médicaments et cela se répercute sur la qualité des œufs qu’ils produisent. D’où l’intérêt de notre étude d’évaluer la qualité chimique des œufs commercialisés dans trois préfectures du Sud-Togo. Cette étude s’est déroulée du 03 décembre 2018 au 28 février 2019 en deux phase : une phase de collecte des œufs couplée à l’administration du questionnaire d’enquête et une phase d’analyse des échantillons au Laboratoire de Contrôle des Médicaments Vétérinaires (LACOMEV) de l’Ecole Inter-états des sciences et médecine vétérinaires (EISMV) de Dakar utilisant la méthode du CHARM TEST II. L’étude a porté sur 85 œufs prélevés dans les fermes et marchés des préfectures du GOLFE, ZIO et VO au Togo. Nos résultats d’enquête ont révélé que le taux de suivi sanitaire des fermes est de 84,37% et par l’occasion tous les élevages utilisent des antibiotiques avec un taux de 90,6% des éleveurs qui utilisent en association des tétracyclines et les colistines. Quant à la posologie, 78,13% des éleveurs ne la respectent pas ; encore moins les délais d’attente des médicaments dont aucun éleveur ne respecte y compris les 56,25% de ceux qui disent pourtant connaitre la notion. Les résultats d’analyse des 85 œufs ont donné un taux de présence global de 23,5%. Les résultats par préfecture montrent un taux plus élevé à ZIO avec 33,33% suivi d’un taux de 24,07% à GOLFE et 12,5% à VO. Les résultats en fonction de lieux de prélèvement des œufs montrent que les œufs prélevés dans les fermes sont plus contaminés (30,61%) que ceux prélevés dans les marchés (13,89%). Ces résultats nous ont permis de révéler la mauvaise qualité chimique des œufs commercialisés dans les préfectures du GOLFE, ZIO et VO au Sud-Togo vu leur niveau de contamination qui est assez considérable. C’est pourquoi à la fin de notre étude, des recommandations ont été adressées aux pouvoirs publics et aux autres acteurs concernés par la problématique des résidus dans les DAOA |
